Research & Resources

The Lab publishes its thinking before its results: what it is, what it intends to test, and the rules it will hold itself to when reporting. Each document carries its focus area, date, and status.

All documents are available here as PDFs, with a Word edition of The Middle Economy — no external drives, no permissions. They are working documents released for public review, not peer-reviewed publications, and none asserts a verified outcome. Revised versions replace these files in place, with dates updated.

How to read these documents

Every status on this site — in development, active, target, published — and every evidence tier the Lab will report against is defined once, publicly, in the measurement framework. If a claim ever seems to outrun its label, that document is the standard to hold the Lab to.
